My Objectives for Warwick

I want my Family to Stay in Warwick

I am tired of hearing my friends and neighbors telling their kids to Leave Warwick and RI because there are no opportunities for them here.  We need more opportunities for families.

Have you had enough?

I WILL root out Corruption at every level

Under Picozzi's watch we have had Sexual Harrassment, Violations of Civil Rights , Anti-Semitism, Retaliation and a complete lack of action by the Mayor and cover ups after HR investigates.

Community Involvement and Events

Community Garden at City Hall

Providence has 16 community gardens.

The parking lot and annex area the Mayor dug up for the proposed the ice rink had to stop construction because of contaminated soil.

If I was elected Mayor, I was going to remove the contaminated soil and make it a community garden with a walking track around it.  I was going to have the garden split into 4 garden sections.

1 section for Tollgate, 1 section for Pilgrim, 1 section for Hendricken
1 section for the Jr High School kids to work on before they got to HS in Warwick.

I was going to have a yearly contest between the schools to see who could make the best crops and was going to have the schools donate the food to the community.

I was going to build a sitting area on the back side of the businesses with a covered area and picnic tables for the community.

It would still be a community area but not an ice rink that requires millions of dollars to maintain over the years.  The students would maintain it. It would have been great for civic pride.

Warwick's Finances are in Jeopardy

Nicest guy in the world until this happens

This is the information people are not getting.  Every candidate says they are nice.  Every candidate says they care about Warwick.  They are telling you what you want to hear.  The truth, has been reported in the Warwick Beacon, Providence Journal and Boston Globe.  Politicians are not heroes.  Click the link to see what was hidden.  Do you trust this person to get us through the financial storm on the horizon?  A simple Google search shows it all. Please research.

This isn't nice, it's proven

A Mayor should be able to handle their own personal Finances

Do you trust this person to get us through the financial storm on the horizon?  A simple Google search shows it all. Google Frank Picozzi Warwick Financial Problems.

Use Grants for infrastructure, Warwick Sewers are Crumbling

We do NOT Need an ice rink next to city Hall.  It's a wonderful idea but a quick google search will show the average temperature in Warwick is above Freezing.  Link to Average Temp in Warwick

The grant only paid for the cost to build, not maintain.  Also, the ground was found to be contaminated.  Why didn't the mayor check this first? Information about Contaminated Soil

Do we need a Military Armored Vehicle?

Why pay Taxes to Boston?

Warwick Taxpayers will no longer send Tax payments to Boston.

We have been sending Tax Payments to Boston for years.  This option has not saved Warwick Residents money.  Moving payments to Boston did not lead to a reduction of employees, it didn't reduce wait times in Warwick.  We moved the payments to Boston when the Warwick Annex had issues and the building was no longer usable.  It is time to stop sending our tax money to Boston.  We should be able to accept ALL Tax payments via online payments.  A good website will allow the taxpayers to make payments quickly and securely.  Taxpayers should be able to see what they owe and make a payment quickly.  Taxpayers should also be able to access their information at any time.  Moving payments back to Warwick will save Warwick Money.

Stop Cell Phone Use while driving for Safety!

Speed Cameras being used for Revenue NOT Safety

“The City of Providence is being sued by the company that they hired to put in the speed cameras,” Maloney said. Speed Cameras are a short time scheme for a revenue source.  People will learn to avoid them.  Before we go forward with speed cameras, I think we need to have these companies investigated and make sure it’s not going to open us up to additional lawsuits.”

https://www.wpri.com/news/providence-speed-cameras-were-a-money-maker-in-2018/

Speed Camera locations are posted online and areas will be avoided.  This is for revenue, not safety.  I think police can stop people for using cell phones while driving.

You do NOT need to open your doors for illegal assessment

There is no reason for the city to trample to on your rights

City Workers and tax assessors should not be forcing residents to open their homes for an inspection.  All residents will be able to contest their property assessment without letting agents of the government enter their premisses illegally without a warrant.  This is no different than a police officer entering your property without a warrant.  I will not be letting the tax assessor onto my property.  I will contest my assessment.  I will contact the ACLU and sue the City for trampling on my rights and your rights.

Home inspection is next step in city revaluation

The City Tax Assessor has started  sending letters to 40,859 property owners inviting them to open their doors for a 10-to-15-minute inspection of their homes and businesses. Property owners will be able to make appointments over the internet and phone.

Picozzi Proud of 200 new businesses when 1000 closed.

I will support Businesses large and Small in Warwick

I own 2 businesses in Warwick, GameOn and DrDesktop.  I know the struggles businesses face.  I am constantly evaluating if I can continue serving my customers in Warwick.

It is true costs go up every year but businesses are still struggling after Covid and my business is down about 15% with the 195 bridge out.  Warwick business owners say that they are not being serviced despite paying local taxes and permits for their business in Warwick.

According to the U.S Census , only 64.5% total percent (population 16 years and over) are In Civilian Labor Force.  this means 64.5% of Warwick Civilians pay all the taxes of Warwick.

“Voters have been deceived, politicians have misled the people with concepts, and taxpayers are once again left holding the bag,” Maloney said. “Not providing accurate information and twisting the truth in presentations is lying, and those involved can not be trusted.”

Patrick Maloney Jr Protects The Community

The Warwick Tax Assessor entering our homes is wrong. It is against the Constitution.  Citizens should never be required to let the government or government agents in the official duties into their homes.

  • If elected, No more assessors will require you to open your doors and let them in.

  • If you chose not to let tax assessors into your home you were told you could NOT contest your tax assessment.  I will allow every home owner in Warwick contest their assessment if you do not agree.  This is your RIGHT!

  • Click Here for Beacon Article on Assessments Whooo’s knocking?   It could be the tax assessor

  • Maloney will investigate and attempt to prevent Homes from being taken in tax sales.  These are invasive and put homeowners in jeopardy of falling permanently into Debt.  A bill of several hundred dollars should not lead to thousands owed during stressful uncertain times.  Click Here to see if you owe taxes
